This is a function I built to assist in the creation of splatmaps. Splatmapping is a technique usually used on terrains which allow the mixing of materials based on the brightness of each channel of a guiding splat-map. The only issue is, for the sake of speed, these materials are simply added together. If a splat map is not balanced correctly, the terrain has bright or dark spots.

This function will take a user-created map, painted or procedural, and adjust each channel to make sure that the combined value is always 1.
